BIO
I was an English as a Second Language and Work Orientation Teacher at the Philippine Refugee Processing Center which was funded by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. In 1992, I moved to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates where I worked in various multinational companies and global law firms. In 2002, I relocated to Omaha, Nebraska.
I have over thirty years of collective learning and professional experience as a teacher, paralegal and advanced practitioner in contract and commercial management, banking and finance, project change management and supply chain management. I am able to draw upon my career journeys and diverse global perspectives to create engaging learning content, legal design and training solutions curated to deliver business success.

I hold a Master of Science degree in Instructional Design and Technology (The University of Arizona Global Campus, USA); a Master of Arts degree in Management (Bellevue University, USA); a Bachelor of Arts (English) degree from the Philippines; and an Advanced Certified Paralegal (National Association of Paralegals, USA). In addition, I am a Commercial & Contract Management Practitioner; a Prosci® Experienced Change Practitioner; and an Expert Practitioner in Project Management.
Global leadership: Serving our community

I understand the challenges that one must navigate when leaving one's home country, family and friends to build a new home in a new land. It is never easy -- and the promise of a renewed purpose keeps me going.
I am the founder of an employee resource group with a mission to welcome all immigrants, refugees and interested employees in building inclusive diversity through respectful interactions. I also served as a member of the Advisory Committee of the DEI Fund at the United Way of the Midlands, that ensures the path to opportunity is open and accessible to BIPOC community agencies. I am currently the VP of Strategic Planning and Partnership at Midlands African Chambers. I support and volunteer at events such as the annual Omaha World Refugee Day; UNO's Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI), an educational and cultural exchange aimed at building leadership capabilities in the young professionals in the region and to promote collaboration in the ASEAN community; and the 1st Annual Nebraska Supplier Diversity Trade Conference organized by the Urban League of Nebraska and Small Business Administration to push for inclusive economic growth in the community.

Traveling around the world

Besides my deep interest in learning, I am also very passionate about traveling to new places. I have lived in the Philippines and the United Arab Emirates. And I have traveled to many places in Asia, Europe and North America. My favorite place, to date, is Annapurna in Nepal. It was truly a majestic place -- I could almost touch the heavens!
